Copyright & Content Use

Last updated: [date]

1. Ownership

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the original texts, publications, translations, images, illustrations, graphics, videos, recordings, teaching materials, patterns, downloadable files and other content published through Natural Health Fellowship are owned or lawfully used by Assist – Natural Health Fellowship or the identified author or rights holder.

All rights are reserved.

Publication on an openly accessible website does not place content in the public domain and does not grant a general licence to reproduce or reuse it.

2. Permitted sharing and quotation

Users may:

  • share an ordinary link to a public NHF page;

  • quote a short and relevant passage where permitted by law;

  • refer to NHF content in personal, academic or critical discussion.

Any quotation must reproduce the original accurately, identify the author and Natural Health Fellowship and include a link to the source where reasonably possible.

A quotation must not substitute for the original work, create a misleading impression or suggest endorsement by the author or NHF.

3. Uses requiring prior permission

Without prior written authorisation from the relevant rights holder, it is forbidden to:

  • reproduce or republish complete articles or substantial portions of them;

  • copy, distribute or modify images, illustrations, graphics or recordings;

  • translate NHF content;

  • incorporate content into another website, publication, database, course or product;

  • remove credits, copyright notices, watermarks or source information;

  • use content for advertising, resale or other commercial purposes;

  • distribute purchased or restricted files to another person;

  • present NHF content or ideas in a manner that falsely implies authorship, affiliation or approval.

Permission for one use does not authorise any other use.

4. Books, e-books and patterns

Books, e-books, patterns and other digital products are supplied for the personal use of the purchaser unless a different licence is expressly stated.

Purchase does not transfer copyright.

It is forbidden to reproduce, upload, forward, resell, exchange or distribute the complete file or substantial parts of it.

A purchased pattern may be used to make items for the purchaser’s personal use. Any permission to sell finished items made from a pattern will be stated in the licence accompanying that product.

5. Restricted and unpublished materials

Restricted, confidential or unpublished materials may be used only within the purpose and context for which access was granted.

It is forbidden to copy, record, publish, teach from, redistribute or disclose such materials without express written permission.

These restrictions continue after access or participation ends.

6. Artificial intelligence and text and data mining

Assist – Natural Health Fellowship expressly reserves all rights concerning automated extraction, text and data mining and the use of its protected content for the development, training, fine-tuning, testing, evaluation or operation of artificial-intelligence systems.

Such uses are forbidden without prior written authorisation, except where a mandatory legal exception applies and cannot be reserved.

This reservation applies to texts, images, publications, translations, recordings, patterns, metadata and downloadable materials.

Appropriate machine-readable rights reservations may also be implemented through website metadata and technical access controls.

7. Third-party materials

Some pages may contain quotations, images, research materials or other content belonging to third parties. Their rights remain with their respective owners.

The presence of third-party material on NHF does not authorise users to reproduce it.

Assist seeks to identify sources and use third-party materials lawfully. A rights holder who believes that material has been used incorrectly may contact Assist with sufficient information to identify the work, the relevant page and the asserted right.

Assist will assess the notice and, where appropriate, correct attribution, restrict access or remove the material.

8. Contributions

A contributor retains copyright in original material unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise.

Submission alone does not transfer ownership to Assist. Any permission to edit, translate, publish or distribute a contribution will be defined through an express agreement or authorisation appropriate to the project.

The contributor remains responsible for ensuring that submitted material does not unlawfully reproduce another person’s work.

9. Enforcement and contact

Unauthorised use may result in withdrawal of access, a request to remove the material, a claim for compensation or other action available under applicable law.
